As I grabbed the last of my stuff from my locker room, I felt a wave of sadness wash over me. I'm not usually a sentimental idiot, but I couldn't help but feel some sadness at that moment. The news came a bit as a shock to me as I thought we were doing great in ratings and whatnot. But the truth was that things had been sour a while and even I couldn't help make things better. The company had to make the tough decision and give up the fight for the time being. HWO had shut down. They said it was only temporary, but I know how these things can easily go for temporary to permanent. I guess the silver lining is the ride ended with me as a champion. My rightful title. So... after looking around for one last time, I walked out and closed the door behind me. The place was quite deserted at that hour, so I didn't really see anyone else except for a few members of the staff. They looked really sad and a few of them gave me a nod. I didn't respond. I mean, they were bugs, why would I even acknowlege them?

I decided to go back to my hotel and pack my things. I wasn't really thinking a lot about what to do next. I thought I'd just go back home and think long and hard about where to go and you know, just relax or whatever. Heh. But things didn't go as planned. As I got to my hotel, there was a woman wearing a suit and she was waiting for me. She introduced herself as Rita Blanche, an agent of SEX.

MARK BREEZE
Agent of... what?!

RITA BLANCHE
Oh, sorry. That always confuses people. S-E-X as in Sports Entertainment X. We are a wrestling organization.

MARK BREEZE
Oh. I see. It's just been a few hours and you're ready to pounce and catch preys, eh?

RITA BLANCHE
That's the nature of the business, Mark. We are aiming to be the number one organization out there and we do everything we can to achieve that goal.

MARK BREEZE
It's Mr. Breeze to you.

RITA BLANCHE
We have an offer you will find hard to refuse... Mr. Breeze.

MARK BREEZE
Is that so?

I agreed to listen to their proposal. We went into the bar of the hotel and sat down in couches, facing each other. She had a briefcase with her and she opened it to take out a contract. She handed it to me with a smile filled with confidence. I smirked back because I knew I was going to make her confidence shatter in a matter of minutes.

RITA BLANCHE
As you can see, we are quite generous with our superstars. This is, what, twice what you're making in the HWO? I'm sorry, *were* making in HWO.

MARK BREEZE
You're quite blunt for an agent, aren't you? And yes, this is more money and even more perks than HWO has been giving me. I guess SEX really wants me, eh?

RITA BLANCHE
Of course. You're on the top of the list of people we have been seeking to hire for a while. Even since your return to the HWO, we've been monitoring you. Someone with your skills will be very appreciated in the SEX.

MARK BREEZE
If you know so much about me, Rita, you'd know that money isn't really something I care about. You could offer me more money than HWO, it doesn't mean that'll make me want to join your company. I'm a legend, I don't give a crap about coins.

RITA BLANCHE
Well, it stands to reason, Mr. Breeze, that if we can offer that much money to our superstars, it means we're doing quite well in the industry. And therefore, the level of skills you'll find in SEX is quite high. You'll have the competition you are desperately seeking for. What do you think of that?

MARK BREEZE
Hm, you do make a fair point. I guess the right thing to do would be to at least have a look at SEX. See what you guys are all about and watch some of the events you've run and so on and so forth. But, see, I need to make a point very clear. I am a legend and legends always get their way. You want me to consider your offer? Then you have to prove to me that you really really REALLY want me to join your company.

RITA BLANCHE
And how can I prove it to you, Mr. Breeze?

That's when I placed my foot on the table, facing her. I kept my smirk on as I saw her face look a bit surprised.

MARK BREEZE
Take off my shoe and sock.

RITA BLANCHE
W-What?

MARK BREEZE
How badly do you want me, Rita? You have FIVE seconds to comply before I take my leave and tell your company you're the reason I declined their offer.

It took her just two seconds before she did what she was told and took off my shoe and sock. She looked at me, hoping that was all, but I almost grinned at her.

MARK BREEZE
Now, kiss my toes.

RITA BLANCHE
WHAT?! Mr. Breeze, this is...

MARK BREEZE
Again, if you don't comply, I will be forced to tell your employers that you ruined their chance of having me in their ranks. The way you've been pushing this offer tells me that you have a personal attachment to the sealing of this deal. What is it? Either you get me to sign or you're fired? Or maybe there's that promotion you've always been waiting for? Quite frankly, I don't care what your motivation is. Either you do what I say, or I take my leave.

RITA BLANCHE
You... you're a cruel man...

And she did what she was told. I chuckled as I felt her lips touch my toes. I was happy to see her crumble right in front of me. She thought she could be this confident bitch who would sway me. What a fool.

MARK BREEZE
There you go, Rita.

I signed the contract and threw it at her.

RITA BLANCHE
Why did you make me... do that?

MARK BREEZE
You called me "Mark". You lacked respect towards a legend. And I thought you were a fool. Two birds, one stone. Now get out of my sight so I can enjoy a nice drink.

She didn't linger and left straight away. She definitely lost that confidence she had a few minutes ago. I was quite happy with myself. Breaking people down, humiliating them... that was something I enjoyed inflicting a lot. I had heard of SEX before. The HWO was closely related to it. So I knew it was a place worth checking out. They will see what's it like to have something as grand, epic and legendary as myself in their ranks.
