1.) Applications - Before posting on roleplaying boards, all roster members must fill out an application/bio, and register a proboard account. If everything is in order, then administration will respond to you in a timely manner.
Real wrestlers (ie Stone Cold, Triple H, etc) are not permitted, though the use of a real wrestler picbase is. Blatant ripoffs are permitted, but will not be taken seriously. On the other hand, parody characters are okay, just make sure you get creative with them or they'll fall completely under blatant ripoffs.
Multiple characters with the same picbase are not allowed. Although, if someone is for instance using Kane or Rey Mysterio unmasked, and the mask never ties into their character, the masked version of Kane or Rey Mysterio will be okay. Just make sure that you both agree on what's going on with that. If there's a dispute, it's first come first serve and the second person with that character will have to pic a new picbase. If a character is used for awhile, whether they are active or not still owns thier picbase. Example - if "Bullit" Bob Jones has been using a Bobby Lashley picbase for 3 years, and leaves the fed for a short period of time, he still has the rights to Bobby Lashley's picbase. If someone comes in for one or two matches and splits, the picbase will more than likely be open for use.
As in most feds, Sports Entertainment X is basically looked on as being in an alternate universe. So no mentions of WWE, TNA, or wrestlers. WWE can be mentioned as "that place up North" or TNA could be mentioned as "that place at Universal Studios". You can mention real wrestlers in creativity, but you can not use their names. If you must do these kind of things, be creative with them. But mostly it is not needed.
2.) Shows - Sports Entertainment X runs a bi-weekly show (Addiction) which is aired on SXNetwork on Wednesdays. Another bi-weekly/monthly show (Heartbreak) is for female talent. They also run house shows which usually consists mostly of developmental talent. Win/loss records do not count for house shows. Rarely anything big happens at them (title changes, etc), but don't be surprised if it did.
Sports Entertainment X also has 4 to 5 pay per views a year. The better the storyline, feud, championship challenge, etc., the higher spot on the card you'll receive. If not everyone is booked on the card, the Sterling Title will nearly always be on the show.
3.) Roleplaying - Win/loss will be based now solely on roleplays unless an alternative ending is agreed upon by all competitors.
The roleplaying limit for SX Addiction is 1 rp/ 2000 word limit.
The roleplaying limit for SX PPV's will be 1 rp/unlimited word count. There will usually be a longer time period for roleplaying.
4.) Results for Addiction will be written out if someone volunteers to write the match. Any match that isn't volunteered for will probably be done in summary.
Results for the PPV's will be longer. Very few if no matches will be summerized for the PPV's. This is where I'll ask that some of you take on a match.
5.) Roleplaying rules -
No plagiarism. Stealing other people's roleplays from other feds will not be tolerated.
Rehashing your own roleplays is okay, but there will be no need for it. If you rehash an old roleplay and are caught, the roleplay will not count. If you are in multiple feds and use the same promo for both, it's understandable. The roleplay should pertain to what's going on in SX though. Don't plan on anyone knowing what's going on with you in another fed.
No using anyone else's character without their permission. No excuses. SOME staff members are allowed in roleplays, and some are not. Those are detailed in the SX staff section. Breaking this rule will lead to automatic expulsion from SX.
Houseshow, in ring, promos are fine. I will allow Developmental Talent to be used in this, but they do need to be respected. They are not complete "jobbers". I will say that if someone does a quick "in ring house show promo" and thier opponent does a storyline, character development, promo, the in ring promo will almost always lose.
5.) This is a basic overview of the rules. I'm sure more will be added as we go along. Just remember to use moral standards and creativity and you'll be fine. Have fun.
